5/5/09 (Post-op +33) - Week 3, Day 2 - Tuesday

Today was the first day that I'm established in Mississippi. Man, is it muggy and humid down here, but the area is pretty nice. Clinton, Mississippi that is... We are staying right next to Mississippi College, which has a beautiful campus. We are eating meals at the college cafeteria, which is much better than our cafeteria at Tusculum College. Coached a U-11 girls team today (5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.) and had a lot of fun with the girls. I focused on their communication and moving off the ball and the girls said they had a lot of fun. After coaching, it was practice time at 7:30 p.m.

We started our session off with some movement and agility in the center circle. After, we worked on touching 3 cones (out of 10 randomly spaced in the middle of the circle) and exploding to a ball on the outside of the ciricle, recieving with a quick touch and playing it back before touching another 3 cones. We got through one group until it started lightning pretty badly, so we moved the practice to a gym at a church and played 4 v 4 futsal for a couple hours. Had a lot of fun playing with the guys and then finished the evening off with a trip to Margaritas Mexican Food for a delightful cuisine of enchiladas and a soda to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. A bit different than how they celebrate in Chico, but I hope the Chico-faithful will forgive me for that...

I will post more on the trip soon when i get regular access to the internet and what not. Hopefully move into the apartment Drew and I will be staying in tomorrow. Have training at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow... I'll update more tomorrow...
